Traffic alphabet in images

Street - road placed inside of city, along of which, one side and the other, there are the sidewalks, for pedestrian traffic.
Roadway - the road area between sidewalks, for vehicles traffic.
Sidewalk - the part from the edge of the street, much higher from the roadway, dedicated to pedestrian traffic. Outside the city, the edge of the highway is called footway.
Pedestrians - all the persons who are walking on the street sidewalk or on a public road.
Pedestrian passing - passing mark of the street for pedestrian, made from parallel white lines.
Traffic light - signalization device with coloured lights (red and green for pedestrian, red, yellow and green for drivers) used for leading the city's street traffic.
Refuge - a place arranged like a sidewalk on the street's roadway, used for facilitating the crossroad or ascending and descending from a road transport.
Vehicle - means of conveyance, which travels on a communication way (terrestrial, underground, airway, cosmically, underwater).
Motor vehicle - vehicle equipped with an engine which's making it to move; is used for transporting people or merchandise.
Safety belt - large belt from a special material, that a vehicle is equipped with, used for protecting the passengers in case of accident.
Road policeman - he is supervising and guides the vehicles street traffic and pedestrian traffic.
Crossing - the place where is intersecting two or more roads.
